Sydney’s own, 22 year old Singer-Songwriter Jessa Verone, is waking up the area with a fresh, compelling presence. Jessa was immersed into the music world at an early age as both her father and grandfather were esteemed, performing opera singers. From watching shows on the sidelines to sharing a stage with flight facilities, Jessa is turning her dreams into a reality. 

Influenced by high profile artists such as Birdy, Florence (Florence & the Machine), and more localised, Australian artists Delta Goodrem, Vera Blue and George Alice - Jessa Verone finds herself alike in sound, quality and passion. 

Growing up around the stage, Jessa knew performing was what she does best. Watching her father perform throughout her childhood, she became vocally trained, later under the guidance of well known soprano Toni Powell. Dancing and singing allowed Jessa to find a way to express her truest self thus creating a sound and direction which is so uniquely her own. Undertaking tertiary education at JMC Academy in Sydney, Jessa worked with industry professionals to better her craft, graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Music (specialising in contemporary performance). 

Jessa Verone possesses a unique vocal tone and rich blend of classical, contemporary and indie sounds that is unlike what you hear today. Verone’s exploration of subjects are derived from personal and external experiences providing an intimate insight into the world through her lens. Verone’s distinct sound and elements of indie-pop, ballad, synth-pop and drum and bass fusions make her work truly distinctive.

Presently, Jessa has a lot on the rise with the release of her debut single (August 2024) “Blue Moon”.  With her release creating traction, there is no doubt that there is much more to come; collaborations with local artists, performances across Sydney, social media accessibility and quality songs under her belt… it is only a matter of time until you are seeing the name Jessa Verone everywhere you look. Releasing her second career single 'My Mind' in December of 2024, Jessa can't wait to show her versatility and originality as an artist. Working with Sydney based producer OkayOnly, their powerful collaboration leaves much anticipation for future releases.

With her career just under way, Jessa has already shown numerous achievements in the industry. In 2022, Jessa was a backing vocalist for Flight Facilities at their Airfields Festival, getting a taste for performing on the big stage. Headlining her own show in 2022 at the Vanguard under ‘Third Act’, Jessa, and accompanying local artists, sold out the venue to maximum capacity, later performing in 2023 at the Factory Theatre. Selling out her debut single release event for 'Blue Moon' in August of 2024, Jessa's career is only just getting started. Performing around Sydney at local venues, Jessa loves connecting with her community, which she plans to continue throughout her career.
